Do I need an instrument?

  • Clients enrolled in Private Music Therapy Sessions are not required to purchase instruments. However, having instruments at home will afford the client the ability to practice at home; therefore, strengthening and increasing the longevity of the effects of Music Therapy Interventions performed in session.

  • Clients enrolled in Adaptive and Typical Music Lessons are required to purchase the instrument they are learning so that they may practice between sessions.

Are there package options?

  • Yes. Services are offered at individual and package rates. We recommend that clients/students try one session first before registering for a package. Lesson/Session Packages are offered at a discounted rate and are grouped by 4, 8, 12, or 24.

What if I have more than one child? Can they participate?

  • All services are offered with the option of an “add on” rate of $50 for any additional children or friends who are in the same household and would also like to participate in the session.

Is financial assistance available?

  • All Services are offered on a sliding scale, depending on the income and paying ability of the client.

  • Children and Adults on the Autism Spectrum may qualify for reimbursement through OPWDD.

  • Music Therapy reimbursement may also be available through your insurance plan. Contact your provider or review your plan to ensure that coverage is available for “Out-Of-Network Providers”

  • Medicare Part B includes outpatient care for mental health. Medicare can reimburse Music Therapists if your visit is prescribed by a physician as medically necessary.

    Similarly, Medicare Advantage plans will cover active therapies that would have been covered by Medicare Part B.

What if the therapist or instructor is not a good fit for me or my child?

  • That’s okay! Although we do try very hard to match clients with the best fit, we understand that things may not always work out (like any relationship). Just let us know and we will do our best to find someone who appropriately meets your needs.
